Leo Alton Fields married Mary Jo Hail 18 December 1941 in Abilene, Texas. The couple moved to Graham, Texas in 1981 from Iowa Park, Texas. Lee Fields ran the Saddle Shed, a western store in Graham for many years.

Survived by his wife; two sons - Larry Fields and Alton Fields; four grandchldren.

His siblings were; Beatrice Zell, Rex Eugene and Gerald Lavoy.

A veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II from 1945-1946.

He coached girls basketball, won two state championships in 1955, 1957, and then coached football for 21 years.
