Obituary
The deceased, Mrs. Albert Johnson, whose maiden name was Cornelia Burton, was born in Carollton, Caroll Co. Mo., November 30, 1872. She came west to join her sister about eleven years ago, locating near Augusta, which has since been her home.
She was married to Albert Johnson, Jan. 27, 1892, which union resulted in the birth of five children, three girls and two boys. The baby, a girl, was buried only a few days before the mother. The immediate cause of her death was consumption. She died at her home March 6, 1904, aged 31 years, 3 months and 6 days.
Her mother, Mrs. Martha Nance, one brother, Levi Burton were present at the funeral. Ministries of tender mercies were shown Mrs. Johnson by her motherinlaw, Mrs. Johnson and her own mother, Mrs. Nance, her brothers and others during her illness and untimely death.
The husband, children and all who feel this death most keenly have the sympathy of the community. The funeral services were conducted by Elder G.J. Chapman at the Christian church and the body laid to rest in the Kuster cemetery, Monday, March 7.
