From the Reedly Exponent:

Carl Reidley Graham was born November 26, 1943, in Reedley, California the son of Erman Zebedia Graham and Jackie (Ella Jack) Fisher. Carl died on May 25, 2011 in Fresno, California.

Carl attended grade school in Reedley and graduated from Reedley Joint Union High School on June 5, 1963.

Carl enlisted in the United States Air Force on August 1 1964, and left the service as a Staff Sergeant on August 27, 1971. While in the Air Force, Carl served as a radio technician and radio repairman in Viet Nam and an electronics instructor at Rantoul Air Force Base, Rantoul, Illinois. Immediately after leaving the service, Carl worked for Barnham Hospital in Normal, Illinois, as an electronics repairman until he moved to Flagstaff Arizona, where he was a general contractor. In 1975, he moved to Wichita, Kansas, and was employed by Southwestern Bell Company, subsequently AT&T, retiring on September 29, 2003, as a contractor engineer. After spending several of his retirement years in Wichita, Carl moved to Reedley to live with his mother in January, 2008.

Carl was an exceptionally talented and creative individual with a keen sense of humor and a very strong, positive zest for life. He was a self-trained and educated architect and designer, capable of successfully completing jobs in areas such as plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, finish work, plastering, painting and decorating, building his own homes in Flagstaff and Wichita. He enjoyed gardening and landscape designing. He was an extremely generous and considerate individual, helping many other in personal and financial ways. Not only would he share his time and joy with friends but he also would prepare designs for the remodeling of friends' homes, install underground sprinkler systems, co-sign on notes and mortgages, and provide general maintenance services.

Carl's charities included the Humane Society, AIDS Projects, activities for the homeless, and GLBT societies.

Carl was preceded in death by his mother and father and is survived by his two brothers and sister-in-law, Rusty and Julie Graham of Reedley and Tom and Claudette Graham of Dinuba, one nephew; three nieces; numerous great- nieces and nephews; and many friends in California, Arizona and Nebraska.
