Edgar Estes was born on February 5, 1900 in Davidson County, Tennessee, the son of Jefferson Davis "Jeff" Estes (1868-1906) and his 2nd wife Nancy Caroline "Nanny" (Dunlap) Estes (1867-1950).
He was just 5 days old when he died on February 10, 1900 and was buried in the Estes family burial ground at "6 miles on Murfreesboro Road," and because the cemetery was in the way of later improvements and expansion of the Nashville Municipal Airport, a good number of both marked and unmarked burials there were re-interred in Nashville City Cemetery in 1958, and with those re-burials were at least 15 members of the Estes family.
