Mrs. Carolyn Maye Garrison, 74, devoted wife, mother and grandmother of Poca passed away March 20, 2016 in St. Mary's Medical Center.

Mrs. Garrison is a retired teacher from Putnam County Schools and attended Mt. Tabor Church of God, St. Albans. She was a member of Alpha Beta Kappa; graduate of Poca High School, West Virginia State and Marshall University.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jewell Walters Allen and Ralph B. Allen and brother Ralph B. Allen, Jr.

She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Don Garrison; children Hal Garrison and Lela and husband Rusty Harbert; sister Dena and husband Ken Painter; sister-in-law Linda Allen; grandchildren Andrew and wife Lisa Garrison, Hunter Link, Logan Harbert, J.B. Harbert and Lindsay Garrison and great grandchild Riley.
A tribute to the life of Mrs. Carolyn Garrison will be 2:00 PM Wednesday March 23, 2016 at Gatens-Harding Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Frank Lawson officiating. Burial will follow in Showen Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the Mt. Tabor Church of God PO Box 6 St. Albans, WV 25177.
