Alois Ruf
MONROE - Alois H. Ruf, 75, a Monroe businessman, died Saturday at home after a long illness.
Born in Monroe, he married Mae Benkert in Appleton in 1931. Mr. Ruf was a partner in the former Ruf confectionery and later in the Paul A. Ruf Company.
He was a member of Immanuel Evangelical E.U.B. Church, the Masons, the American Legion, and the World War I Barracks.
Surviving are his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Harold Kamps of Ishpeming, Michigan, and Sally of San Francisco; a brother Paul A. of Monroe and two sisters, Mrs. Hilda Ellingson, Monroe, and Mrs. Olga Clark of Columbia, Missouri.
The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Shriner-Neushwander funeral home, where friends may call after noon Monday. There will be Masonic rites at 8 p.m. Monday.
