Jeffrey Marc Eckert, 44, passed away as a result of injuries from a motorcycle accident on Sunday, August 2, 2015. Funeral arrangements were made through Harter Funeral Home in Mexico, NY. Calling hours were Thursday, August 6, 2015 and memorial services were held on Friday, August 7, 2015.

Jeff was a Medic for 15 years and worked for McFee Ambulance Corps of Mexico, N.O.C.A., and North Shore Ambulance. Before his death, he had recently started working as an Operator at Clinton's Ditch in Syracuse, NY. He was also a member of the Mexico Volunteer Fire Department. In the past, he had been a certified rescue diver and instructor as well as a volunteer (and for a period of time, served as Vice President) for the Oswego County Underwater Search and Recovery Team. He had also been certified for emergency response to hazardous materials disaster management (HAZ-MAT). In addition, he had obtained his license as a Marine Boat Captain.

Jeff was an avid motorcycle rider with membership in the Oswego County Comets Motorcycle Club. He also really enjoyed hunting, working part of the time on his farm of over 100 acres, and playing his guitar. He has been described as always appreciative, smiling, known for his great sense of humor, and always willing to help others. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Wendy Eckert of Mexico, NY; his father and stepmother, Kenneth and Nancy Eckert of Georgia; his mother and stepfather, Patricia and Joseph Pine of Florida; brother, Michael Eckert of Syracuse, NY; half-sister, Rebecca Gunningsmith of Trumansburg, NY; half-brother, Jeremy Eckert and half-sister, Leslie Camilli, both of California; and step-sisters Tiffany Keefer and Mindy Keefer-Fabian, both of New Mexico. He also has several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Jeff's name appears on Panel #5 of "The Traveling Memorial Wall For Fallen Bikers" at www.bikerwall.com. His motorcycle theme was also his life theme, "Never Enough Time".
