CADIZ, Ky. - A funeral mass for Walter L. Myers, 71, Cadiz, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Collinsville, Ill., with the Rev. Robert Morris officiating and burial in Saint John's Cemetery, Collinsville.

Visitation will begin at 4 this afternoon at Goodwin Funeral home and also will take place at 2 p.m. Friday at Herr Funeral Home, Collinsville.

He died at 8:25 a.m. Wednesday at his home following an illness.

A native of East St. Louis, Ill., he was born April 29 1923, son of the late Earl and Mary J. Rouch Myers. He was a retired millwright, having worked for 37 years with General Motors, St. Louis, Mo., and a member of St. Stephens Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife, Maggie M. Griggs Myers; a son, Walter J. Myers, Florissant, Mo.; two daughters, Susan M. Randant, Collinsville, and Diane M. Waddington, Indianapolis, Ind.; two stepchildren, Virgil L. Daniels, Batchtown, Ill., and Maria "Penny" Oakley, Cadiz; a brother, Earl J. Myers, St. Charles, Mo.; two sisters, Mildred "Midge" Krawczyk and Mary Margaret Hall, both of Collinsiville; and nine grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.
