News reached here yesterday of the death of Sid Collins, which occurred in a hospital at Bismarck where he had been several days. The cause of death was heart failure. Mr. Collins had not been well for time and was taken to Bismarck in the hope something could be done for him. The funeral will be held at Ashley and burial in the Ellendale Cemetery tomorrow, Friday.
Sid Collins was among the early settlers of Ellendale and for many years carried the mail between here and Ashley. He was well liked by everyone who knew him. At the death of his wife several years ago he removed to Ashley and has since made that his home. Later he was married again and leaves besides his wife two sons and two daughters to mourn his death.
