Agnes H. Balding (December 25, 1916-July 28, 2001). A memorial service for Agnes Balding of Grand Junction, CO will be held on Friday, August 3, 2001, at 1:00 p.m. at Lutheran Church and School of Messiah, 11th Street and Teller Avenue in Grand Junction with Reverend Gary Buss officiating. Cremation has taken place. Burial services will be held at Restlawn Memory Gardens in Huron, SD at a later date. Agnes passed away at Larchwood Inns at the age of 84. She was born December 25, 1916 to Ernest and May Brandenburg at Alpena, SD. Her parents are deceased. She married Harold A. Balding on July 24, 1943, at Sioux City, IA. Harold died on April 7 1990. Survivors include her son, Lance Balding and his wife, Lynette, a grandson Landon Balding and his wife, Niccole, all of Grand Junction, a stepson, Gary Balding and his wife, Verla of Mitchell, SD; one sister, Byrt Ptak and her husband, Steve, also of Mitchell, SD; one brother, Edmund Brandenburg and his wife, Kathy of Alpena, SD; and many nieces and nephews. Two sisters, Margaret and Viola and one brother, Ralph, predeceased her. Arrangements are under the direction of Callahan-Edfast Mortuary.
