Wichita Falls, Tex.-To the Star: My mother, Alice Clark Thomas, daughter of Macomb Clark, one of the original incorporators of the city of Leavenworth, Kas., died at Mineral Wells, Tex., Martin 1. In the Star of March 2 appeared an article which referred to my father, Dr. M.S. Thomas, as having had charge of Andersonville prison. This is in error. He was four years in the Confederate service, first with Thomas J. Jackson in Kentucky and afterwards around Richmond, and was at the battle of Gettysburg, but never at Andersonville. M.S. Thomas
