Mary W. Adams was born to the union of Mariar Hardy and Jacob Williams on August 2, 1933 in Faunsdale, Alabama. She moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana with her family at the age of 3. Mary departed this life peacefully on Sunday, March 20, 2016.

She was a faithful member of the Union Baptist Church serving as past Missionary Matron President, an avid reader, public speaker and speech writer. Mary attended Central High School and Indiana University. She was a member of Toastmistress International, Indiana Board of Realtors and Brokers, and the Rhoda K. Jones Order of Eastern Star. Mary also served as secretary for Church Women United of Fort Wayne, former Recording Secretary of the Northern Indiana Missionary Baptist District Association and was a mentor for Project Reads at the Old Fort YMCA and former board member.

We will always remember and cherish her many memories as an excellent mother and motivator and her legacy will live on through her children, Mariah Holmes, Charles A. Blair Jr., Sharon Fuller (Andrew), Michael Blair, James Lowery (Jennifer), Dave Adams III (Bonita), Eric Adams, Carl Windom (Selma); a sister of love, Kathleen Kelly; 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild and host of other relatives and friends.

~She will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Memorial Park~
