There will be private funeral services for Floyd H. Stickel, of Canfield, who passed away Wednesday morning at his home.
Floyd was born June 7, 1917 in Portersville, PA a son of the late Floyd G. and Iva (Lutz) Stickel.
He was a millwright for Packard Electric for 18 years retiring in 1982, and was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. He loved gardening, being outdoors, and doing home projects, during the winter months he enjoyed reading. Floyd lived his life according to the Golden Rule. He had served in the United States Army Air Corps during WWII in the Pacific Theatre.
Floyd is survived by his wife Eve E. Kamrad Stickel whom he married May 2, 1946; and two children: Scott (Maryanne) Stickel of Rochester, NY and
Sheila (Jake) McIntyre of Canfield.
Besides his parents, Floyd is preceded in death by two sisters Evelyn Morris and Doris MacElwain and two brothers Kenneth and Jack Stickel.
There are no calling hours.
The family has entrusted Lane Funeral Home Canfield Chapel to handle the arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market St., Boardman, OH 44512, in Floyd's name.
