CATHERINE LANDT

Mrs. Catherine Landt, nee Weiss, 65, member of one of the pioneer families of
this city, died at the home at Two Rivers at 2:15 a.m. Sunday. She was ill for
a year.
Funeral services will be held at Two Rivers Wednesday morning at 8:30 o’clock
from the Klein & Stangel, Inc., funeral home. At 9 o’clock there will be a
solemn requiem high mass at St. Luke’s church. Interment will be made in
Pioneers’ Rest cemetery.
Mrs. Landt was born Catherine Weiss at Two Rivers on June 4, 1876, a daughter
of the late Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Weiss. Her entire life was spent in that city.
On Oct. 18, 1898 she married John Landt who died in 1909. Following Mr. Landt’s
death his widow clerked at the Two Rivers Mercantile store for four years and
for the next 22 years she was employed in the type department at the Hamilton
plant.
She was a member of the Altar society of St. Luke’s church.
Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Clara Stipek Heill; one son, Roland Landt; one
sister, Mrs. Theodore Fuch; two brothers, John and Frank Weiss; and three
grandchildren, all of Two Rivers.
