Charles P. Beasley, age 69, of McKinney, TX, passed away on April 11, 2015. Born September 23, 1945, in Shawnee, OK, to Porter L. and Voleta Jones Beasley, Charles grew up and attended Fair Park High School in Shreveport, LA graduating class of 1963. He then attended SMU in Dallas where he played basketball leading them to 3 Southwest Conference Championships from 1963–1967. Charles began his professional basketball career in 1967 with the Dallas Chaparrals retiring in 1971 after playing in 281 professional games. He married Paula Steele on September 7, 1970, in Las Vegas, NV. Charles will always be remembered for his love of sports, commitment to his family, great since of humor and will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife Paula Steele Beasley of McKinney, TX; son Chip Beasley and wife Nicole of McKinney, TX; sister, Linda Dumas and husband Al of Garland, TX; brother-in-law, Perry Steele of Houston, TX grandsons; Brendan and Ethan Beasley; nieces and nephews, Randy and Marty Dumas, Meredith Kottler and Sam Steele, great nieces and nephews, Alex, Andrew, Brooke and Meagan Dumas, Aliya Steele Kottler and a host of extended family and loving friends.

In celebration of his life, please join us at 11:00am, Friday, April 17, 2015, at Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church, 9800 Preston Rd., Dallas, TX 75230. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the charity of choice.
