AGE 88 YEARS
Arthur D. “Art” Clark Sr., beloved husband of Angie Clark, of Shunk, PA passed away on Thursday afternoon, March 24, 2016 at the Highlands Care Center in Laporte, PA.
Arthur Dudley, “Art” to family and friends, was born on August 24, 1927 in New Brunswick, NJ, one of four children of the late Frederick and Christina (Vanderkratz) Clark.
He was a graduate of New Brunswick High School.
On June 2, 1951 Art married the former Angelina M. Carneglia in Franklin Park, NJ and they were blessed with three children.
Art was employed as a Lieutenant Correctional Officer with the Middlesex County Correction Facility for 26 years until retiring in 1985.
He and Angie then moved to Sullivan County to make their home.
Art possessed many interests in life.
He appreciated nature, being outdoors and was an avid gardener;
winning several awards given by the Pennsylvania Horticulture Society.
Art also enjoyed reading, hunting, fishing and was an American History buff, especially the Civil War.
He was an admirer of the Ford Model T and enjoyed being a member of the “T-Boners” Club.
Surviving is Angelina, his devoted wife of 65 years;
children, Arthur Jr. of Highland Park, NJ, Christine of Harrisburg, PA and Rose of Summerset, NJ; seven grandchildren,
a great granddaughter, a brother, William of Shartlesville, PA
Burial in Ellenton Cemetery.
