Florene Gudat, 100, of Westphalia, died Wednesday March 23, 2016 in a Cedar Park Nursing Home. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday in the Church of the Visitation in Westphalia. Msgr. Elmer Holtman and Rev. Walter Dhanwar officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Westphalia.
Mrs. Gudat was born March 16, 1916 in Rosebud to Otto and Ida Frei Schneider. She married Frank Gudat on September 1, 1936. She lived in Westphalia over 80 years and was a member of the Church of the Visitation.
She was preceded in death by her husband, sisters, Selma Engbrock, Nona Rinn and one brother Otto Schnieder.
She is survived by a daughter, Frances Robinson and husband Robert of Cedar Park.
One son, Dennis Gudat and wife Linda of Nathrop, Colorado
One sister, Fayola Younts of Humble
5 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren and 7 Great Great Grandchildren
Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, with Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. at Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud.
