Einar Bjarnason 1825-1895

Age 70 years.

Einar Bjarnason married Helga Sigurdardottir on September 10, 1853 in Reykjavik, Gullbringusysla, Iceland.

In 1871, "Einar Bjarnason, businessman from Reykjavík, came with his eldest son and eldest daughter, and his wife came two years later with their other children. He moved to Milwaukee in 1873, and moved back in 1882. He died 3 December 1895, 71 years old. His widow and four children are here on the island." This information was found in Ólafur S. Thorgeirsson's Almanac and was written by Arni Gudmundsen in 1900.

"The narrative on Einar from Arni Gudmundsen's 1900 Almanac article has been mistranslated. "... his wife came two years later with their other two children..." The text actually says "with their other children." She in fact came with all their other ten children!"
