CHARLES W. LAWERENTZ (d. 1961)

Charles Lawerentz, 71
, retired longtime employe of the Hamilton Mfg.
Co., Two Rivers, died unexpectedly of a heart attack at the home of
a daughter, Mrs. Clarence Pilger, of 908-19th St., Two Rivers.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete, pending word from a daughter,
wife of a serviceman stationed in North Africa. Arrangements are in
charge of Klein and Stangel, Inc. Funeral Home, Two Rivers.
Charles Lawerentz was born May 14, 1890, in the Town of Herman,
Sheboygan County, a son of the late Karl and Helene Hanke.
When he was 17 he came to Two Rivers and for 42 years was employed
at the Hamilton Mfg. Co., retiring seven years ago. He married the
former Frances Klein in Two Rivers March 30, 1912, who died Dec. 10,
1957. Since, Mr. Lawerentz had been making his home with the daughter.
He was a member of the Hamilton 30-Year Club and the firm's
Goodfellowship Club.
Surviving are four other daughters, Mrs. Ludwig Swetlik of Rt. 2,
Two Rivers, Mrs. Leonard Miller, of Rt 2, Manitowoc, Mrs. Raymond
Springstube of Rt. 2, Two Rivers, and Mrs. Jerold Henzell of North
Africa; two sons, Charles Jr. of Two Rivers, and Vernon of Manitowoc;
three sisters, Mrs. Emma Krueger and Mrs. Lena Preisler of Sheboygan
and Mrs. Anna Klein of Manitowoc; 21 grandchildren and one great
grandchild. A son, Roland Lawerentz, was killed in action in World
War II in North Africa in 1943.
