Helen F. (McGraw) Steinmiller, 82, passed away
peacefully on August 27, 2014 at Hospice of
Northwest Ohio. Helen was born on January 24,
1932 to Frank B. and Helen M. (Gould) McGraw
in Toledo, Ohio. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking,
reading and working jigsaw puzzles. Helen also
enjoyed having her two rescue dogs Taz and
Tommy.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56
years, Leonard J. Steinmiller; son-in-­law, Jerry
Hinz; grandson, Derrick and great-­grandson,
Carter. Helen is survived by her children, Bernard
(Kimilee), Mary (Kole Sterling) Ach, Timothy,
Ann Hinz, and Christopher (Jennifer); 12
grandchildren; 9 great­-grandchildren.
The family will receive guests on Tuesday from 2
– 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752
Heatherdowns Blvd. – SW Chapel, Toledo (419-381-­1900).
A Mass of Christian Burial will take
place Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of
Lourdes Catholic Church, 6135 Hill Ave., Toledo.
Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
Those wishing to make memorial contributions in
honor of Helen are asked to consider the Toledo
Humane Society or Humane Ohio.
