Kenneth R. Johnson Sr., 82, of 2 Ridgewood Manor, Manheim, died Saturday at Lancaster Regional Medical Center after an illness. He was a tow motor operator for Black & Decker for 25 years. He also worked for High Steel for 19 years. He was a member of Lancaster Brethren in Christ Church. A veteran of World War II, he served with the U.S. Navy in the Pacific. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Born in East Hempfield Township, he was the son of the late Aaron and Ida Odenwalt Johnson Sr. His wife, Anna E. Reynolds, died in 1995. He is survived by a son, Kenneth R. Jr., married to Anna Mary Smith Johnson of Mount Joy; two daughters, Beverly Solis, at home, and Sharon Steffy of East Petersburg; four grandchildren; and two sisters, Thelma Kauffman and Doris Reinhart, both of Willow Street. He was preceded in death by a brother, Aaron Jr. (Lancaster New Era - Jan 22, 2001)
