Lavina Pease (Foss) Chandler was the daughter of Rev. Andrew T. & Mary (Morrell) Foss. Her father was a minister, speaker and agent for several anti-slavery societies. She died of Bright's Disease. Her tombstone shows "L.P." and she lays beside her son, Walter Eugene "W.E." who died at the age of 3 months. She had one child, Mary Frances "Mamie" Chandler who survived her. She was the first wife of John M. Chandler who she married 20 December 1860.
