Mr. Jackson was born in Limestone County on Oct. 29, 1926, to Hayden T. and Katie L Jackson.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Bess; their son, Dr. Kevin Jackson, and wife, Katie Lamar Jackson, of Opelika; daughter, Hollye Hatfield, and husband, Dr. Michael Hatfield, of Augusta, Ga.; his beloved grandchildren, Jonathan Grant Hatfield, Carter Stallings Jackson and Katelyn Michelle Hatfield.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters, Jo Anne Jackson Newton and Azalee "Dee" Jackson Chessman, and an infant son, Trent Carter Jackson.
