BARNEY BOES
PASSED AWAY

He Was an Old
and Respected Citizen.

Bernard H. Boes, of 1020 Vine street, died at the family residence at 6 o'clock this morning, aged 83 years and 4 months. He had been in feeble health for the past several years, although his condition was not considered serious until ten days ago, when he became ill of the grip.

Mr. Boes was a native of Germany but emigrated early in life to the United States. Quincy had been his home for the past fifty-six years. He had not been engaged in active pursuits for a long time.

Surviving him are four children, nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren, all of whom reside in Quincy. The children are two sons, Henry and Joseph Boes, and two daughters, Mrs. Fred Warning and Mrs. George Ledig. His wife is dead.

The deceased was an upright citizen, well liked by everybody who knew him. He was a faithful member of St. John's Catholic church.

FUNERAL NOTICE

The funeral of the late Bernard H. Boes will take place Friday morning at 8 from the residence, 1020 Vine street, and at 8:30 o'clock from St. John's Catholic church. Interment will be at St. Boniface cemetery. Friends are invited to attend.
