Mrs. Amelia Lenhart, 77
, of 1900 Adams St., Two Rivers, widow of a prominent
early Two Rivers liveryman died unexpectedly of a heart attack while shopping
in the downtown area at 4 p.m. Wednesday. She had previously been in good
health.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at St. John Evangelical Lutheran
Church, Two Rivers, the Rev. T.F. Stein officiating. Interment will be in
Pioneers' Rest Cemetery, Two Rivers.
Mrs. Lenhart, nee Amelia Schmidt, was born Dec. 26, 1882 in the Town of Two
Rivers, a daughter of the late Henry P. and Louise Abrath Schmidt. She attended
the graded school in the Town of Two Rivers and Oct. 26, 1907 she was married to
Carl Lenhart in Two Rivers. She had been a resident of Two Rivers since. Her
husband, who for many years operated a livery at the same address, died March 24,
1943. She was a longtime member of St. John Church.
Mrs. Lenhart leaves two daughters, Mrs. Richard Reihl of Manitowoc and Mrs.
Leslie C. Guetschow of Two Rivers; five sisters, Mrs. John Klinder, Miss Tina
Schmidt and Miss Henrietta Schmidt of Manitowoc, Mrs. Otto Cess of Rt. 1, Mishicot,
and Mrs. Carl Burmeister of Two Rivers and a brother, Henry C. Schmidt of Two
Rivers.
Friends may call at the Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, Two Rivers, after 3 p.m.
Friday until 11 a.m. Saturday when the casket will be taken to the church where
the body will lie in state until the time of services.

Marriage of Carl Lenhart & Amelia Schmidt

At St. John's church Saturday afternoon, Mr. Carl Lenhardt and Miss Amelia Schmidt were united in marriage. Rev. Doehler pronounced the ceremony in a very impressive manner. The bride is a young, estimable lady and well known in the city. Her parents live in the Town of Two Rivers. The groom is a well known young gentleman who has lived here many years. The Reporter is pleased to extend to this young married couple its best and hearty wishes.
