Charles A. Bollinger of Elk Grove Village for 10 years Prayers for Charles A. Bollinger, 55, formerly of Burr Ridge, will be said at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 10, at Grove Memorial Chapel, 1199 S. Arlington Heights Road, Elk Grove Village, proceeding to St. Julian Eymard Church, 601 Biesterfield Road, Elk Grove Village, for a Mass at 10 a.m. Entombment will be in Queen of Heaven Mausoleum, Hillside. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, at the funeral home. Born in Chicago, he died Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009, at Alexian Brothers Medical Center, after a courageous battle with cancer. Mr. Bollinger was employed for 37 years with Allstate Insurance of Northbrook and was the executive vice president. He received his M.B.A. degree from UIC in 2003. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast. He was the beloved husband for 10 years of Denise A. (nee DeBartolo); loving father of Jeanette M. (Richard) Carnaghi, DeAnna M. Andrews, Charles D. Bollinger, Robert D. Andrews and Susan E. Bollinger; cherished grandfather of Jordan and Kendall; beloved son of Joan M. (nee Szok) and the late Charles F. Bollinger; fond brother of Debra (Dennis) Currie; dear uncle of James, Jennifer and Raymond; fond son-in-law of Arlene and the late Frank DeBartolo; and dear brother-in-law of Debbie DeBartolo.
