Roscoe - R. L. Adams, 90, of Roscoe, died at 10 p.m. Tuesday in Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in United Methodist Church. The Revs. Ray Elmer, pastor, and Cleck Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Roscoe Cemetery under direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Born July 16, 1988 in Raymer, Tenn., he married Margaret Wiman on June 6, 1926 in Loraine. He was a 1906 graduate of Loraine High School and taught school in the Champion community, Fairview, Loraine, Noodle and Fair View community. He was a former Justice of the Peace and a former owner of a furniture store and funeral home here. He had lived here since 1924 and was a veteran of World War I. He was a Methodist.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. J. B. (Mava) Cooper of Roscoe and Mrs. Bob (Ann) Lawrence of Houston; a son, Richard of Lubbock; and seven grandchildren.
