Harry J. Bennett, 50, of 16 Cole Ave., died at 1:15 p.m. Friday (Nov. 13, 1964) at Lewis Run while supervising work being done in the DiFonzo home. He had been ill for several years and retired from the General Roofing Co., where he had been employed for 18 years, about three years ago. Previous to that he had been employed at Dresser Manufacturing Division.
He was born April 17, 1914, in Curwensville, son of the late Harvey and Bertha McCracken Bennett. His mother died Nov. 3.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Methodist Men's Club. He was married in Bradford March 16, 1938 to Ada McCracken.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Merle Ostrander, Bradford; one son, Donald J. Bennett, stationed at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois; three brothers, Eugene and Charles of Bradford and Bud of Tonawanda, N.Y.; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Bowers of Memphis, Tenn., and Mrs. Alice Olszowy, Buffalo, N.Y.
