Shreveport, LA William A. "Bill" Davignon was born September 17, 1923 in Forbing, LA, his parents were Olga Cavell and Joseph M. Davignon. He went to be with his Lord March 31, 2016 in Shreveport.
Mr. Davignon grew up on a dairy farm and was a lifelong resident of Shreveport. He worked in sales at Home Depot and received a 15 year service award. He was a member of St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church and later of St. Mary of the Pines Catholic Church.
Mr. Davignon is preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and four brothers. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Barbara Stevenson Davignon; brother, Paul Davignon; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins; and many friends.
A service celebrating the life of Mr. Davignon will be conducted Wednesday, April 6, 2016, 10:00 AM at St Mary of the Pines Catholic Church, Shreveport, LA. Officiating will be Father Francis Kamau. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be from 9:30 until service time at the Church.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to the charity of your choice.
