SARA ELLEN GIVENS GILLIS, looking forward to being reunited with her beloved husband, Thomas "Tommy" Gillis, passed away at Wheeling Hospital, September 12, 2006. She celebrated her 90th birthday on July 26. Sara, a lifelong resident of Wellsburg, West Virginia, was the daughter of the late George D. Givens and Anna Peters Givens. She is survived by her brother, Roy E. Givens and his wife, Dolores, of Wellsburg; her sister-in-law, Lee Givens of Tampa, Florida; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Also preceding her in death were her brothers, George, John and Thomas Givens, Paul Givens, and Ernest Givens. Sara was a member of the Community of Christ Church of Wellsburg and the Women of the Moose, Wellsburg, where she was a past College of Regents and a Star Recorder. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, September 14th from 3-8 P.M.., at Chambers Funeral Home, Wellsburg, where funeral services will be held on Friday, at 11:00 A.M.with Elder Edward Schupbach, of the Community of Christ Church,officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Cemetery Wellsburg, WV.
