By 1930 Ida had moved with her family to Cook County, Illinois. She met and married Homer Raymond "Lee" Little on October 25, 1934 in Cook County (Cook County, Illinois Marriage Index ), but dual headstone lists October 28, 1934. They were the parents of 4 sons, David, Eugene, Henry and James.
Besides caring for her family, Ida enjoyed many things such as sewing, garage sales and farm auctions, operating a restaurant and selling real estate.
Ida died on March 3, 2014 in South Elgin, Illinois at the age of 97 years. Her husband of 72 years had died in 2006.
Three of Ida's four sons survived her (David Lee of North Caroline, Eugene Neal of Illinois and James "Randy" of Ilinois), as well as 17 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Three siblings survived: Bert Theobald, Larry (Treva) Theobald and Phyllis Theobald Wilmoth. Ida's husband (2006)and one son, Henry Newton Little (2001) had preceded her in death.
A memorial for Ida was held by Laird Funeral Home on March 9, 2014. Burial was on March 10, 2014 at Simmons Cemetery in Creal Springs, Illinois. (spoke with Laird Funeral Home on 10/24/2018. who confirmed their packet of records for Ida showed she was buried in Simmons Family Farm Cemetery, 1389-1417 Bost Orchard Road in Creal Springs, Illinois). However, Ida actually is buried beside her husband in Calvert (aka Ravenwood Cemetery or Simmons Family Farm Cemetery in Marion, Williamson County, Illinois.
