Gerhard "Gay" E. Adelt, age 71, passed away March 17, 1992 at his home of natural caues.
Born July 19, 1920 in Koeniberg, East Prussia, and came to America in 1926. He married Betty Gail Cowley, in 1949, who passed away January 31, 1988.Survived by brother, Huck Adelt, St. George; daughter, Mrs. Gary (Janet) Somsen, Salt Lake; three sons, Gary Adelt, Sandy; Larry Adelt, Salt Lake; Glen Adelt, Northern, Calif.; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by son, Eric Adelt, mother, Marie and father, Gustav. He was active in sports, he has a half back for the U of U All Conference Football Team, and the Salt Lake Seagulls. He liked the outdoors and loved fishing.
Graveside services Wednesday, March 25, 11 a.m. at the City Cemetery, 200 N Street, where he will be placed with his mother.
