Two vehicle collision kills Alpine man, injures one

A 29-year old Alpine man died
and a woman was injured in a
two vehicle accident on Texas Highway 118 about 15 miles south of Fort Davis about 9:30 a.m. Tuesday. Patrick Lyle Bailey died at 11:46 a.m. at Brewster Memorial Hospital in Alpine where, he had been taken for treatment.

Kathy Little, 36, of Fort Davis was also taken to the hospital for treatment. She was released
Wednesday.

Investigation of the accident indicated that Bailey was on the wrong side of the highway and as Little tried to avoid the collision, Bailey corrected his vehicle and the two collided. The pickup Bailey was driving turned over but he was not thrown from the vehicle. Ms. Little was wearing a seat belt.

Services for Bailey are scheduled this morning at 9 a.m. in First Methodist -Church in Alpine. Burial will follow in Marfa
Cemetery.

Patrick Lyle Bailey, 29, died Tuesday- morning, following an automobile accident north of Alpine. Funeral will be today at 9 a.m.
at First Methodist Church in Alpine with the Rev James Miller to officiate. Burial will be in Marfa Cemetery in Marfa. He was born July 23, 19S7, in Austin. He was a 1976 graduate
of Marfa High School. He was vice president of Chapparal Transportation.
Survivors include his wife, Theresa Bailey of Alpine; one daughter, Christy Bailey of Alpine; one son, Bishop Beau Bailey of Alpine; his parents, Bishop and Marilyn Bailey of Alpine;, three sisters, Cathy Boscetti of Portland, Maine, Lynne Harlow of Clarksville, Tenn.,
and Leslie Bailey of Midland; and his step-grandmother, Mrs. Laura Austin of California.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Bunsen, Rink Poison, Buddy Rogers, Jon Poison, Andrew Wells and Terri Plumbley. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Bishop, Matt Henderson, Van Scott, Ruben Ortega and Frank Ortega.
