Arlene A. Doughty, age 90, formerly of 511 Oak Street, Manitowoc, died Monday, April 4, 2016, at the Manitowoc Health & Rehabilitation Center.
Arlene was born in Manitowoc on March 5, 1926, daughter of the late Peter and Mary (Birringer) Grall. She attended schools in the local area. On April 28, 1945 she married John Doughty at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on September 15, 1992. Arlene was employed at Zimmerman's Ready to Wear and volunteered after her retirement at the Manitowoc Senior Center.
She is survived by one daughter-in-law: Lois Doughty, Manitowoc; one granddaughter: Susan (Brian) Moumblow, Green Bay; two great grandchildren: Cali and Andrew Moumblow, Green Bay; one sister: Rita Yarbrough, FL; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law include: Henry (Ruth) Doughty, CA; Faye Banks, CA; Carol (Robert) Woodford, MA; Eleanor Dowdy, ME, nieces, nephews, other friends and relatives also survive. Arlene was preceded in death by her parents: Peter and Mary Grall; her husband: John Doughty; one son: John Doughty Jr.; two brothers and one sister-in-law: Jerome Grall; Richard (LaVerne) Grall; three sisters and two brothers-in-law: Lucille Grall-infant; Virginia (Clarence) Albrecht; Florence Racine; Paul Yarbrough; two sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law: Bette Ann (Seymour) Steeves; Faye Doughty.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at the Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home, 818 State Street, Manitowoc. Deacon Alan Boeldt will officiate with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
