Jerry D. Lovett, 73 of Monticello passed away January 14, 2013 at his home in Monticello. He was born December 26, 1939 in McComb, MS.

He was a retired U.S. Navy Veteran of the Korean War and Vietnam Era, a retired truck driver and was a Christian. He was the son of the late Clarence May Lovett and Rheba Marie Greer Lovett and was preceded in death by one son, John Lovett and three brothers, Charles, Bob and Danny Lovett.

Survivors include his wife, Nora Faye Oakes Lovett of Monticello; two brothers, Carl Lovett of Alaska and James Lovett of Michigan; three sisters, Mary Lovett, Faye Lanier, both of Mississippi and Patty Lovett of Alaska; two grandchildren Mattie Lovett and Riley Lovett, both of Oregon; one step-son, Len Brockwell of Monticello and several nieces and nephews
