Ann Gail Brooks Koontz, 76, of Sharon Drive, died Sunday, April 10, 2016, at her home.

A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at Forest Hill Memorial Park, with the Rev. Terry Coats officiating. Burial will follow. The family will receive friends at the home.

Mrs. Koontz was born September 14, 1939, in Davidson County to Nyal Wilson Brooks and Granice Lee Koonts Brooks. She was retired from Center Point Human Services where she served in the Human Resources department. She was a member of Yadkin College United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Bruce Koontz; son, Christopher Koontz; and brother Archie Brooks.

Surviving are son, Eric Koontz of the home; daughters, Kelly Cooke and companion Michael of Murrells Inlet, SC, and Leigh Koontz of the home; grandchildren, Derek Joyner and wife Jenni, Michelle Perry and husband Joel, Jeffery Martin and fiance, Morgan, Brooke Byerly and husband Nick, Kristie Burkhart and special friend Nick, and Heather Burkhart and special friend Randall; great-grandchildren, Precious Kellie Joyner, C.J. Joyner, and James Rose; and sister, Sally Maxwell of High Point.
