California, on July 27, according to messages received here by relatives.
The body has been cremated and the ashes are being brought here to be
interred in the National Bohemian cemetery at Kossuth.
Mr. Cizek and his wife left the county for the west 21 years ago, and he
has been living a retired life.
In 1940 they observed their 66th wedding anniversary at their home in
Glendale. The couple had been married at Kellnersville in 1874 by Justice
of the Peace Mike Kellner. Mr. Cizek was born in the town of Kossuth, and
his wife, who survives, was born on a Missipssippi river boat near New
Orleans 88 years ago. After their marriage the Cizeks bought a farm and
lived on it until 1907 when they moved to this city. They lived here until
1922 and then moved to Glendale, where their children, Helen, Emil and Fred,
had already gone.
Private funeral services were held in Glendale.
