She was the daughter of the late Amos R. Keller Sr. and Daisy Thomas Keller. Four brothers predeceased her, Robert "Bob" Keller, Richard "Dick" Keller, Russell "Rut" Keller, and Amos "Bud" Keller.
Katherine lived in Middletown area for most of her life. She and Harold built two homes in Middletown and on on the family farm. In 1993, she moved to Boonsboro. Most recently she resided at Pleasant View Nursing Home, Mount Airy.
She is survived by her sister, Mary O'Hara(LaMar) of Frederick; her caregiver, Nancy Keller-Bonde of Middletown; her goddaughter, Christina Beahm Myers of Fairfield, Pa; and numerous nieces and nephews and their families. She will be fondly remembered for her contagious smile, outgoing personality and her warm heart.
Katherine worked for Farmers Cooperative in Fredrick for 32 years and 10 years in Middletown Valley Bank's loan office. While living at Fahrney-Keedy, she donated more than 4000 hours assisting the office staff. She was a member of Christ Reform Church, Middletown for 60-plus years, before transferring her membership to Fahrney-Keedy Chapel Fellowship in 1994.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 15, at Donald B. Thompson Funeral Home, 31 E. Main Street, Middletown. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 16, at Christ Reform Church, Middletown, with visitation at the church one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Louis Emerick will officiate.
