Aged Hopkins Woman Passed Away Friday After Only a Few Days’ Illness
Mrs. Tabitha Hewitt died at her home in Hopkins Friday afternoon at 3:30 o’clock after an illness of only a few days.
The funeral services will be held at 1:30 o’clock Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Griffith of the Baptist church. Burial in Hopkins cemetery.
Mrs. Hewitt was born in Montgomery county, Ill., December 31, 1822, and lived in that county until her marriage to H. [anson] H. [arvey] Hewitt of the same county. They came to Hopkins in 1880 and she has lived there continuously since. Mr. Hewitt died in 1904 and since that time Mrs. Hewitt has been tenderly cared for by her sons.
One daughter and four sons survive.
