Meredith Lynn Abbott, "Grandma Honey", passed away on April 2, 2016. She was born on August 16, 1931 in Bellingham, Washington to Al and Louise Hutchinson.
Meredith married Vernon Abbott on March 21, 1950 and was happily married for 57 years and enjoyed raising three children. She loved being a grandmother and showering her grandchildren, as well as her 18 great-grandchildren, with lots of love. She always had a hug and kiss for everyone.
Meredith enjoyed painting, knitting, and being a beautician. She owned her own beauty shop for years.
Meredith was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vernon; and brother, Howard.
Meredith was loved by many, with her sweet, kind, loving nature, and she will be greatly missed.
A memorial service will be held at Moles Greenacres (5700 Northwest Dr.) on April 22 at 2:30 pm, with reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alternative Whatcom Humane Society (PO Box 2321 Bellingham,WA 98227).
