Stephanie Abel was born in Berlin Germany March 20th 1929. She and her brother Werner fled occupied Germany at a young age as one of the hidden children. She lived in France and Switzerland before making her way to New York City in 1947.Upon arrival she was asked where she would like to live, it was San Francisco because that where she saw Clark Gable in the movie of the same name.
There she found her Clark Gable in my father Alan Abel. They were married for 66 years they had two sons, Steven who passed at a very young age. She is survived by her son Scott, Granddaughter Jenni and her three great grandchildren Jesse, Alex and Destiny.
Her childhood had much to do with whom she became a smart well educated, independent and very loving person and boy a very good cook!
Mom would never like the high praise my father and I would give her for her wonderful meals. So for years we would say it was "adequate" or it met our expectations"
We love you mom and miss you…Be at peace.
Private interment will be at Golden Gate National Cemetery.
