FOUNTAIN SMITH'S FUNERAL

Will Take Place Here Tomorrow Morning

The body of Fountain M. Smith, one of Leavenworth county's oldest resident, and who died at his home in Tonganoxie yesterday, will be brought to Leavenworth tomorrow. Funeral services will be conducted at the home of his son, Dr. Bud Smith, after which burial will take place in Mount Muncie cemetery.
Mr. Smith was born in Alabama eighty-eight years ago. His death was caused by pneumonia. Four sons and two daughters survive. They are: Dr. A.J. and Dr. Bud Smith of Leavenworth, William F. Smith of Kansas City, and F.M. Smith of Tonganoxie, Miss Emily F. Smith, Kansas City, Mo., Mrs. W.L. Lutz of Tonganoxie.

Marguerite Smith 1922-2002 is also buried on the plot. Unsure of relationship between the Smith Family buried here. I suspect she is the Great Granddaughter of Fountain Smith Sr.
