Minnie Corley 78, died Wednesday, April 13, 2016 in a local hospital.

Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 16th at Starbuck Funeral Home Chapel in Merkel with Pastor Tommy Locke officiating. Burial will be in the Tye Cemetery, directed by Starbuck Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Minnie was born September 28, 1937 in Martin County, Texas to H.A. and Ruth (Abercrombie) Rumfield. She married E.L. Corley and he preceded her in death September 24, 2004.

Minnie was a member of Faith Tabernacle in Tye. She was a hard worker who never met a stranger and always helped others in need. She was also a wonderful cook, and she LOVED her family.

Survivors include children, Franklin Travis Pettyjohn, Shannon Dwain Corley and wife Rhonda, Theodore "Ted" Neely Corley and wife Debra all of Abilene, James "Buddy" Watson Corley and wife Patricia Renea of Wichita Falls, John Ray Corley of White Deer, Rebecca Ann Cowart of Marble Falls; sisters, Wanda Nell Coomer and Geraldine Burns both of Midland; numerous grand and great grandchildren; and several great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Claude, Turner, R.D., Cecil, and Junior Rumfield; and several grandchildren.
