Maurice D. "Morrie" Baer, age 93, died Aug. 29, 1995 in Salt Lake City.

Born August 14, 1902 in Lenora, Kansas to Charles Edward and Edith Ellena Braynard Baer. Married Frances Anderson, May 8, 1929 in Salt Lake City. She died December 11, 1982. Former vice president Bamburger Railroad, where he served 1918-1967. Worked for Union Pacific Railroad as Freight and Passenger Agent 1967 until retirement in 1975. Member of the Salt Lake Transportation Club.

Survivors include: brother, Parley E. Baer and wife, Ernestine, of Tarzana, Calif.; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 12 noon at Evans & Early Mortuary, 574 East 100 So., where friends may call Thursday 7-8 p.m. and Friday one half hour prior to service. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 1342 East 500 So. Funeral directors: Evans & Early Mortuary.
