Barton was pretty much raised by his Grandmother Augusta Carlson who once was married to Charles Ringstrom his Grandfather.
Barton was raised in Los Angles area and eventually was employed by McDonald Douglas Aircraft.
When World War II broke out, Barton Joined the Navy and was stationed at Alameda Navel Air Station during WWII.
He met and pursued LaVon Graham Carlson around 1940-41, they were eventually married and had two sons and a daughter, Barton Harry Ringstrom deceased, Courtney “Court” Ringstrom and Peni Lee Goings Healy.
After the war was over Bart and LaVon stayed in the city of alameda where he and LaVon purchased a Texaco Gas Station and Lived in Alameda.
After a few years they sold the station and moved to the city of Hayward where they purchased a piece of property and started a Used Car Business which they both continued for over 40 years raising a family in Niles Fremont, CA a short drive from Hayward.
LaVon and Barton were long term residents from 1960 till his death 2003.
