A SUDDEN ATTACK OF HEART DISEASE
Causes the Death of an Aged Man in the Rear of the St. Denis.
HE HAD BEEN PARALYZED
A. T. Cretors Encounters Death while He is Walking Through an Alley and Expires Within a Few Moments Today.

While A. T. Cretors, an aged peanut and popcorn vendor, was passing through an alley at 11:00 this morning he sank to the ground immediately in the rear of the St. Denis hotel and expired within a few moments. Dr. Butler, who was on Washington street, was hastily summoned, but the man was dead before he arrived.
The deceased was carrying a small show case and before death seized him he set the case on the St. Denis truck wagon, which was standing near, and fell to the ground. His son, E. L. Cretors, was informed of his father’s death and going immediately to the body he ordered it taken to Davidson & Henderson’s undertaking establishment, which was done, and it was there that the remains were viewed by the coroner.
The dead man was sixty-six years of age and his son said he had twice been stricken with paralysis. Death is supposed to have been the result of heart disease. The home of the deceased is at Edinburg.
Three children, Mrs. J. F. Armstrong, Flora M. Cretors and E. L. Cretors, all of Edinburg, survive.
The son and father conducted a portable peanut and popcorn stand in this city and frequently made trips with it to neighboring cities and towns.
