Funeral services for James William Lunsford, 87, one of the last surviving members of Col. John Mosby's famous Confederate rangers, will be held today at 2 p.m. at the Ives funeral parlors at Clarendon, Va. Interment will be in the Columbia Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Lunsford was born in Loudoun County and joined the Confererate troops as a youth and fought throughout the war. He moved to Arlington County about ten years ago and at the time of his death Wednesday he lived at the home of Mrs. H. L. Rucker at 501 Popular Avenue, Clarendon. He had been ill for about two years. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Sadie Shelly, of Washington; a son, Charles Lunsford, now in the Philippines with the Marine Corps; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Beatrice Nicholson, of Washington, and Mrs. Ellen Grove, of Del Ray, Va.
