Janice "Janis" M. Jandrey, age 87, formerly of New Holstein, passed away Friday, April 15, 2016 at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers.
Janice was born August 19, 1928 in the Town of Cato, daughter of the late Albert and Melissa (Berge) Berge. She was a graduate of Valders High School with the Class of 1946. Janice worked as a secretary for the Salvatorian Center for 38 years retiring in 1991. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Valders and enjoyed puzzles. The love of her life was Glenroy Jandrey whom she was united to in marriage on May 27, 1950 in Valders. He preceded her in death on March 28, 2008.
Survivors include two special nephews and their wives: Mark & Kathy Berge and Ron & Kaye Jandrey, all of Reedsville; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Lucy Jandrey, Kaukauna; Donald & Muriel Jandrey, Dixon, IL; Shirley Jandrey, Reedsville; William & Cheryl Jandrey, Reedsville; Lorraine Dickert, New Holstein; Doris Jandrey, Manitowoc; and Sophia Jandrey, Manitowoc. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Janice was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother Albert Glenn Berge, sister-in-law Donna Berge, nephew Paul Berge and several in laws: Father-in-law and Mother-in-law Charles & Minnie Jandrey; brothers-in-law Willard Dickert, Charles Jandrey, Lawrence Jandrey and Eugene Jandrey; sister-in-law Audrey Jandrey, a nephew Daniel Jandrey and a great nephew Pearce Khail.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Faith Lutheran Church, Valders. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Erica Cunningham with burial to follow services at Valders West Cemetery.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Faith Lutheran Church from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.
