Melba A. Hippe, 87, died April 16, 2016 at Box Butte General Hospital. She was born March 14, 1929 in Alliance, Nebraska to Frank and Susan M.(Cooper)Seidler. She married Arthur J. Hippe on August 31, 1946 in Alliance, Nebraska. Melba worked as the St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church custodian for over 30 years. She also worked hay fields, cleaned houses, worked as a nurse’s aide, worked at the YMCA and was a waitress at Martin’s Family Restaurant for many years. She was a member of St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church and the Eagles Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sister Janis Wickman and her brother-in-law’s, Norman Knuth, LeRoy Wickman, Marky Lynn and Gene Dolson. Memorial services will be held April 21, 2016 at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church. Inurnment will be in the Alliance Cemetery.
