Charles H. Kelsey, 70, a native of Jefferson county and for more than four decades a resident of the town of Richland, died suddenly at 1 o'clock Monday afternoon at his home in the Rome road, nearly a mile east of Pulaski. While his health had been failing for several years he had been able to be. About until a week ago, altho he had during that time been about the house much of the time. Monday afternoon he went to his room for a short nap and shortly afterward his wife found him dead.
Born in Mannsville, April 3, 1850, he moved to Pulaski 41 years ago and has since followed farming, at which he had been quite successful. He had been on the Rome road farm about 17 years.
Surviving, besides his widow, are two sons and a similar number of daughters. They are Clifford H. Kelsey of Pulaski, Clarence W. Kelsey, of Copenhagen, Mrs. Walter Montondo and Mrs. Percy A. Ingersoll both of Pulaski.
Rev. Charles T. Holcombe officiates at the funeral services which are conducted Thursday afternoon at the family home. Interment will be in Riverside cemetery
